African heroes are a group of orphans, Joyce, Lillian and Peter, who were brought to Australia by African Equity, generously funded by Nick and Dianne Mandalis, in December 09. The orphans recorded 7 seven songs including 5 originals from their repertoire, with the generous support of Tall Poppy Productions.

What started out as a basic demo recording gave birth to a masterpiece, which is now the "Heroes of the Nation" compilation CD including 8 songs written by the African heroes, recorded and produced by Tall Poppy Productions, and 1 song recorded at a studio in Nairobi, Kenya.

All songs are available through the Apple iTunes store, or through www.africanheroes.com.au . All proceeds of the recordings and albums are donated to African Equity and the "Heroes Of The Nation" orphanage.

eroes of the Nation is answering the plight of AIDS orphans in Africa. The HTN mission is to rescue orphans and empower them to become leaders. Our growing orphanage is the largest in Kenya, currently housing and educating over 500 children.
